2019 Mitterberg IGT "Planties ROT", Alto Adige, Italy

Slightly developed, fairly firm, polished, restrained, nutty, mushroomy and bacony nose, ripe black berries and a hint of cherries with a hint of iodine, paprika and pepper. Ripe, firm fruit with nutty and roasted wood tones, a hint of marzipan, meat juice and tar, present tannin, coffee grounds, forest floor and blood in the background, hints of tomato essence, good substance and persistence, salty minerality, very good, only slightly drying finish with noticeable alcohol.
