2018 Chianti Classico DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Somewhat tobacco, nutty and cedary-woody aroma with warm black and red berry flavours, leathery traces and hints of liquorice. Ripe, quite juicy fruit with nutty and slightly chocolaty wood flavours, plum tones on the palate, crumbly-sandy tannins, some power and persistence, leathery hints again, a touch of tobacco, salty nuances, a hint of citrus zest and spring onion, good to very good finish.

Editor note: Very slightly dried-vegetable and earthy aroma of rather dark berries with herbal nuances and a hint of dried tomatoes. Tart, juicy, again rather dark fruit, fine sandy tannin and some bite, delicately smoky and nutty woody hints, a touch of tobacco, herbal-vegetable tones, some pepper, floral nuances, good to very good finish.
