2018 Brut Nature Cuvée "Katharina" (Deg.: 04/23), Rheinhessen, Germany

Cool, yeasty, vegetal and slightly mushroomy citrus pome fruit nose with a little moss, nutty notes and a hint of dark berries. Tart, cool, restrained fruit, very fine mousseux and some grip, yeasty and nutty tones, very delicately tobacco-like on the palate, mushrooms and floral traces, persistent, completely dry, mineral notes, very good, somewhat vegetal to tobacco finish with tones clearly reminiscent of mushrooms.
