2019 Barolo DOCG Rocche dell'Annunziata, Piedmont, Italy

Tart, firm, somewhat earthy, dried vegetal, herbal and floral scent of red and black berries with a hint of tar and a trace of undergrowth and mushrooms. Tight, quite juicy, again tart fruit, nutty, smoky and slightly tarry notes, dry herbs on the palate, resinous traces and dark ethereal spice, a little coffee and cocoa in the background, hints of liquorice, persistent, has power, certain depth, still undeveloped, very good, firm finish with toasty tones and still slightly drying tannin.
