2014 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Merlot Mollis®, Alto Adige, Italy

Very light earthy and dried vegetal notes on the nose, red and black berries, whiff of dried tomatoes. Ripe, partly preserved fruit on the palate, nutty oak and some chocolate, slightly brittle oak tannins, some substance and persistence, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, herbaceous traces, salty traces in the background, delicate smoky notes, hint of licorice, more dried tomatoes, good to very good, slightly sweetish and creamy, warm finish.
