2007 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Riserva Manus®, Alto Adige, Italy

Partly dried and preserved black berries and cherries on the nose, some plums and red berries, spicy notes, smoky and roasted notes, hint of cloves. Full-bodied on the palate, ripe, sweetish fruit, prominent spicy oak, some dark chocolate, cloves, nougat and sweetish tart spices, predominantly mature, but also still youthful tannins, very full-bodied and creamy, slightly jammy style, not particularly deep, but well made, good finish.
