2005 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet-Merlot Riserva Crescendo, Alto Adige, Italy

Light floral notes on the nose, partly preserved red berries, delicate smoky notes, hint of citrus and some shy herbaceous notes. Oak rather dominates the palate, roasted and smoky notes, dark chocolate, slightly hidden fruit, astringent oak tannins, noticeable alcohol, touch of rum punch, not particularly deep, slightly overbearing oak again on the finish.
