2018 Barolo DOCG Monvigliero, Piedmont, Italy

Quite deep and firm, a little meaty and tomatoy aroma with tart red and black fruit aromas, a little root vegetables, pepper and juniper. Ripe, tight, juicy fruit, some cocoa and coffee, meaty nuances and herbs, peppery hints on the palate, a touch of bacon, smoky tones, very fine, youthful tannin, chalk and salt in the background, very good, juicy and cocoa-spicy, still very slightly drying, with air then juicier finish with bite.
