2020 Barbaresco DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat tobacco and a hint of ashy fragrance with red and a little black berry aromas, smoky traces and some cedary barrel wood. Straightforward fruit with crumbly tannin and a delicate bite, dried-vegetable to tobacco flavours on the palate, again also a trace of ash, some persistence, not too deep, wild mushrooms in the background, gently smoky barrel wood notes, good to very good finish with cocoa notes.
