2017 Barolo DOCG Serralunga d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly mushroomy and a hint smoky to bacony, also a bit dried-vegetable, with air clearly fruitier scent of mixed berries with liquorice notes, laurel and a little cocoa-spicy wood. Ripe, relatively juicy, partly preserved fruit, crumbly tannin, nutty tones and a little cocoa, dried floral and vegetal hints, some persistence, some alcohol warmth, anise tones, with air also a little drying wood, not too deep, quite juicy, grippy finish with tobacco, delicately smoky and again slightly cocoa-spicy notes.
