2017 Barolo DOCG Cannubi, Piedmont, Italy

Rather tart, tobacco and dried herbal aroma of ripe red and hints of black berries with liquorice notes, a hint of juniper and cola nut. Ripe, firm, dark fruit with coffee notes and juniper, present, somewhat sandy tannin and noticeable acid bite, good persistence, ethereal-herbal aromas, lots of salt, gains juice and precision with air, very good, only somewhat tannin-brittle finish, again with dark fruit, coffee and slightly ethereal spice.
