2017 Lazio IGT Cesanese, Latium, Italy

Somewhat dried floral to tobacco, also nutty scent of ripe red and some black berries with moderate wood barrel tones and dried sage. Clear, polished, ripe, juicy fruit, crumbly tannin, nutty and very slightly chocolaty aromas, persistent on the palate, a touch ethereal, moderate wood again, hints of vanilla, tobacco notes in the background, has power but also polish, very fine acidity, very good, juicy and finely spicy finish.
