2014 Brut Nature "Cuvée Royal", Baden, Germany

Fine vegetal, nutty, delicately yeasty and floral nose, pomaceous fruit, citrus fruit and some black berries, mushrooms, smoky, tobacco and woody notes. Ripe, very dry, relatively dense fruit, nutty flavours, mushrooms and root vegetables, yeasty and tobacco notes, a hint of butter, fine mousseux and some grip, persistent on the palate, a little dark spice, also salty and chalky minerality, very good, firm, slightly smoky finish with a hint of bacon and mushrooms again. Very skilful.
