2008 Salento IGT Primitivo Quota 29, Apulia, Italy

Ripe, preserved mixed berries on the nose, some cherries and plums, coconut and floral notes, spicy oak. Sweetish, creamy fruit on the palate, oak, chocolate, fine, sandy, slightly astringent tannins, hint of dried plants, more prominent coconut, slightly oxidative, lacks depth, fruity finish with spicy coconut and oak.
