2022 Lemberger trocken "Blauer Stein", Württemberg, Germany

Fairly firm, somewhat tobacco-like aroma of ripe black berries with a hint of sour cherries, some dried herbs and smoky, slightly roasted and vanilla oak notes. Ripe dark fruit with herbaceous and again tobacco flavours, crumbly-sandy, youthful tannins, some bite, quite good substance and persistence, smoky and very slightly ashy-grassy tones, salty hints, a little ethereal spice, fine bitter tones, a hint of medicinal, good to very good finish.
