2016 Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione, Tuscany, Italy

Tart, somewhat dried-vegetable, nutty and a hint tarry aroma of partly dried red and a little black berries with a hint of cherries and floral nuances. Firm, ripe fruit with tart, nutty wood spice, dried planty and earthy notes, a touch of tobacco and salt, some bite, fine sandy tannin, lots of power and alcohol, lasting, a hint of ethereal, animal traces, some depth, very good, grippy, spicy and juicy finish with noticeable alcohol, but also cooling mineral tones
