2018 Schwarzriesling trocken "Josua", Württemberg, Germany

Warm, somewhat rooty and woody nose of partly cooked dark berries and plums with herbal-vegetable, earthy and ashy notes. Slightly cooked fruit on the palate, sandy tannins, nutty flavours and smoky, sooty wood, a certain persistence on the palate, plenty of alcoholic strength, plummy, earthy and vegetal tones, almost sweetish melting, strong alcohol on the finish, somewhat brittle and bitter wood.
