2018 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva "höhepunkt", Alto Adige, Italy

Quite a firm, smoky aroma of ripe black berries, some leather, smoke and dried tomatoes with dried herbs and a little pepper. Tart, with air increasingly juicy fruit with smoky, slightly roasted and bitter wood flavours, some coffee and chocolate, present, slightly sandy tannin, herbal notes and stewed peppers on the palate, leathery hints, some juniper and pepper, then also fresh herbs, a lot of alcoholic strength, first somewhat drying and slightly bitter, with time juicier in the very good finish with bite and minty tones.
