2022 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Sauvignon passito "Saphir", Alto Adige, Italy

Rather tart, clearly reminiscent of dried Mediterranean herbs and a slightly mushroomy aroma of dried citrus fruits, white and a little blackcurrants, blackcurrant leaves and a hint of bacon. Candied fruit in the mouth, white and black berry notes again, slightly smoky and nutty wood tones, some melon, slightly bitter zest, fine acidity, dried apple on the palate, almondy hints, salt in the background, a hint of smoke, very good, quite firm, sweet finish with a fine tart, aromatic spiciness.
