Warm, dark tobacco and somewhat leathery-animal scent of ripe black berries with a hint of plums, nutty flavours, soy sauce and chocolate. Ripe, again somewhat warm fruit, toasty and chocolaty wood, plum tones on the palate, somewhat sandy tannin, lactic notes, lots of power and good persistence, a little juniper in the background, sweetish melting, but also somewhat sooty bitterness, becomes juicier and at the same time somewhat cooler with air, very good, somewhat compote-like and alcohol-strong finish.

Best to drink: Mitte 2024 bis 2030+. What our ratings mean
