2015 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Gries Lagrein Riserva, Alto Adige, Italy

Touch of old oak on the nose, peppery notes, delicate hint of bacon, partly preserved forest berries and cherries, hint of licorice. Tart fruit on the palate, delicate acid bite, green nuts and dried vegetal traces, fine sandy tannins, still slightly astringent, wilted flowers and peppery notes in the background, fairly persistent, light earthy notes, slightly muted on a fairly good finish.
