2012 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC De Piano, Alto Adige, Italy

Ripe black and a few red berries on the nose, nutty notes, light dried vegetal notes, hint of tobacco, restrained spicy oak and cocoa. Ripe, fairly juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, some sugar candy, light toasted notes, herbaceous aromas, hint of pomegranate and blood orange, persistent and full-bodied, also has some bite, fine tannins, earthy and mineral notes, hint of bell peppers, still youthful, light peppery spice, cocoa, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, very good tart, juicy finish.
