2020 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Merlot-Cabernet Riserva "Cornelius", Alto Adige, Italy

Somewhat smoky and a hint of cedary aroma of ripe black berries with a hint of tomato paste and meat crust as well as a hint of coffee and cumin. Ripe, quite juicy fruit with smoky, slightly roasted and tobacco flavours, again also coffee-spicy wood, crumbly tannin, persistent on the palate, a little tomato paste and ethereal spice in the background, slight warmth, but also has cooling mineral tones, certain depth, hints of black olives, very good, quite juicy and a little roasted-spicy finish with moderate cocoa notes.
