2017 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Weißburgunder Riserva "V Years", Alto Adige, Italy

Firm, dense and quite deep, somewhat nutty pomaceous fruit nose with fine vegetal and restrained smoky aromas, some mushrooms and hints of tobacco. Ripe, quite juicy, warm, dense fruit, nutty, smoky and buttery flavours, some tobacco, dried herbs in the background, relatively dark wood spice on the palate, fine acidity and grip of crumbly tannin, a hint of pepper, lots of power and alcohol, minerality becoming more pronounced with air, very good finish with nut butter, apple and citrus tones.
