Firm and deep, slightly smoky and spicy, also somewhat nutty and ethereal-herbal aroma with restrained yellow-fruity flavours, a hint of mixed berries and crab meat. Clear, finely juicy, firm fruit with a hint of redcurrants and seaweed, fine, lively, almost marbling acidity, has a grip of ripe tannin, good substance and persistence, a certain depth, clear minerality, fine root vegetables in the background, despite all the power also has cool elements, hints of lardo and aniseed, very good, spicy finish with persistence.

Best to drink: Mitte 2024 bis 2030+. What our ratings mean
