2009 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein-Merlot Laurin, Alto Adige, Italy

Clear, polished nose, predominantly black berries, some cherries and plums, earthy notes and old oak. Straightforward and clear on the palate, ripe fruit, some spicy oak and sweetish sugar candy, predominantly mature tannins, hint of old oak, some vanilla, fairly soft style, good finish.
