2020 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet Riserva "Mumelter", Alto Adige, Italy

Slightly smoky and juniper-like aroma of ripe black berries, slightly dried plums and tomato paste with minty, herbal aromas and a hint of dark chocolate. Ripe, partly preserved and at first almost a little sweetish dark fruit, smoky aromas, coffee, mint and dark chocolate, fine sandy tannins, a hint of bacon, warm and cool elements, some soot in the background, also liquorice, good substance, very good, only slightly sooty-woody-bitter and stewed finish with very light lemony tones. Should still mature.
