2013 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Gries Lagrein Riserva Select, Alto Adige, Italy

Very light toasted oak on the nose, ripe black berries, touch of plums, light dried herbs and spices. Ripe juicy fruit on the palate, hint of tobacco, light toasted oak, fairly fine tannins, good persistence, smoky traces, hint of dried herbs in the background, polished, medium body, harmonious, earthy notes, more light smoky and toasted notes on a very good tart, juicy finish.
