2006 Toscana IGT Dofana, Tuscany, Italy

Translate to English Deutlich holzwürziger, schokoladiger Duft nach eingekochten Sauerkirschen und dunklen Beeren mit fleischigen und einer Spur laktischen Tönen sowie etwas getrockneten Kräutern. Dunkle, kompottige Frucht und sehr viel Holz im Mund, Milchschokolade, bitterliche Röstaromen und Nüsse, präsentes,m teils trocknendes Tannin, gewisser Säurebiss, mächtiger Körper, alkoholstark, etwas hitzig, wieder Kräutertöne im Hintergrund, etwas Lorbeer, nachhaltig, gewisse Tiefe, sehr guter, saftiger, holziger und alkoholstarker Abgang. Nicht gerade in seiner besten Phase: Hat eigentlich von allem etwas zu viel.

Editor note: Very ripe, preserved black berries and cherries on the nose, light herbs and spices, sweetish roasted notes. Full-bodied and very juicy on the palate, concentrated, firm dark fruit, integrated. roasted spicy oak, fine sandy and still very youthful tannins, persistent with very good depth, excellent stucture, high alcohol perfectly integrated, still youthful, very long finish.
