2017 Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva, Tuscany, Italy

Clear, slightly floral and a hint of herbal scent of ripe red berries, some cherries and also a little black berries with a hint of black olives, capers and blood. Firmly woven, rather tart, rather restrained, with air increasingly juicy fruit, tarry, earthy and dried-vegetable to herbal flavours, slightly bacony in the background, salty minerality, smoke and again black olives and olive oil, has polish, some liquorice in the background, very good, tart-juicy, tight finish.
