Firm, quite tart, a touch smoky and nutty-woody aroma of ripe mainly black berries with a hint of bacon, tobacco and dried mushrooms and tomatoes. Ripe, warm, partly preserved, also slightly sweetish fruit, crumbly, youthful tannin, nutty and slightly coffee-spicy wood flavours, dried mushrooms in the background, certain power and warmth, good persistence, cedary and bitter-chocolate nuances, very good finish with some salt.

Best to drink: Mitte 2022 bis 2028+. What our ratings mean
