2018 "Kermesse", Italy

Firm, quite complex, somewhat smoky, leathery and cedary aroma of ripe red and black berries with herbal and slightly peppery spice, a little dried flowers and red pepper. Firmly knit, ripe, juicy and also melting fruit with nutty and slightly chocolaty aromas, peppery spice, tobacco, iodine, dried herbs and a hint of juniper, ripe, friable tannin, dense and persistent on the palate, good depth, has power, salty hints in the background, very good, firm, juicy and ethereal-spicy finish.
