Firm and deep, quite polished nose with quite noble black berry aromas, ripe sour cherries, bread spices, some smoky and restrained toasty wood notes, a little ethereal herbs and a hint of liquorice. Ripe, very tightly knit and concentrated, tangy fruit, some smoke, hints of toast and fine dark chocolate, present, crumbly, sandy, ripe tannins, slight acid bite, persistent, dense and powerful on the palate, cooling ethereal herbal notes in the background, very good to long, concentrated, again tangy-juicy finish with fine, partly ethereal spice. Must mature.
