The winery is located in the municipality of Ampius on the northern Rhône
. It was founded in the early 1950s by Joseph Jamet, who started bottling in 1976. Today, the family business is run by the brothers Jean-Luc and Jean-Paul Jamet. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vines in the AC area Côte Rôtie
on slate soil, divided into 25 plots. Syrah is cultivated almost exclusively. The destemmed berries are macerated for a long time in steel tanks using natural yeasts. The malolactic fermentation and ageing takes place in oak barrels of different sizes, one fifth of which are new. The wine is then bottled without filtration.
