2004 Vins de Pays des Côtes du Tarn Domaine de Frausseilles, South-west France, France

Very ripe black berries on the nose, plums and partly dried cherries, herbaceous and mineral notes, smoky and roasted notes. Firm, quite juicy fruit with roasted, spicy oak, some smoky notes, fairly prominent youthful, rough tannins, persistent on the palate, but becomes more dry, oaky and brittle with aeration, very creamy, cedary notes in the background, medium depth, oak-dominated and extremely astringent finish.

Best to drink: Ende 2007 bis 2009+. What our ratings mean
