2002 Gaillac AOC Mon Rouge, South-west France, France

Black berries and preserved cherries on the nose, delicate herbaceous notes, smoky and roasted notes. Cool and elegantly juicy, more light herbs and spices, dark fruit, light smoky and roasted notes, medium-fine, slightly astringent tannins, good persistence on the palate, fairly deep, cool fruit and smoky notes as well as some more astringent oak tannins on a good finish.
