2001 Barbera d'Alba DOC -Superiore-, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly shy nose with plums and some berries, plus some mineral notes.Fairly taut structure on the palate, cool, medium body, pithy cherry and plum fruit, noticeable mineral notes also in the mouth, also attractive terroir, appropriate and still clearly present tannins, acidic bite, attractive finish.
