2019 Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux AOC Malherbes Rouge, Bordeaux, France

Firm aroma of ripe black berries, some tomato puree, plums and a little black olives with restrained smoky, cedary and tobacco notes. Ripe, dark, somewhat warm, partly cooked fruit, present, crumbly-sandy tannins, smoky and roasted flavours, lots of dark chocolate and coffee grounds, good persistence, very good, albeit powerful alcohol and a little drying finish with sooty wood notes.
