2016 Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux AOC Malherbes Rouge, Bordeaux, France

Firm, warm, smoky, roasted aroma of very ripe, partly dried black berries and some bread crust and malt with a little ashy tones. Tart, juicy, again very ripe, tightly knit fruit, clear, bitter chocolate-roasted wood with coffee notes, minty tones on the palate, present, fine sandy tannins, persistent on the palate, lots of strength and alcohol, some depth, compote-like notes, sooty bitterness in the background, still rather young, very good, again high-alcohol finish with partly preserved fruit and lots of smoky-roasted wood.
