2015 Barbaresco DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Dried herbs and a hint of tobacco on the nose, light toasted notes, red and black berries, dried floral notes, light peppery spice, hint of juniper and mustard seed. Ripe, fairly tart fruit on the palate, firm, slightly astringent tannins, light acid bite, hint of cocoa, touch of oak, peppery traces, some tobacco and juniper, tarry traces, full body, delicate smoky and salty traces in the background, slightlyastringent on a good to very good, tart finish.
