2019 Barbaresco DOCG Serracapelli, Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat nutty and slightly dried-vegetable to tobacco aroma of black and red berries with slightly ethereal spice, smoke, barrel wood, ivy and a hint of tomato paste. Tart, juicy fruit, herbal and a hint of juniper notes, again tomato paste, smoke and ivy, hints of wild mushrooms in the background, fine sandy, youthful tannin and some bite, tobacco nuances, a little cocoa and soot, in the background also salt and a hint of smoke, very good, quite firm, juicy and a little ethereal-spicy finish.
