2018 Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva La Madonnina, Tuscany, Italy

A little nutty and hinted at wood spice aroma of ripe red and black berries with cedar and tobacco hints. Taut, tangy, quite fresh fruit with some acidity and present, relatively fine tannins, Mediterranean herbs on the palate, good persistence, tobacco nuances, with air more wood comes through, hints of cocoa and coffee, acacia tones, hints of tar, still young, very good, again taut finish with tart spice and quite fresh juice.
