2020 Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione "La Corte", Tuscany, Italy

Clear, polished and transparent nose of ripe black and red berries with peppery and smoky notes as well as tart, nutty and slightly tobacco-like barrel notes and juniper. Ripe, juicy, again clear dark fruit, ripe, youthful but crumbly tannin, smoky and somewhat nutty wood flavours, persistent and dense on the palate, dark ethereal spice, cigar tobacco, salt in the background, herbal nuances, good depth, very good, firm, tart-juicy finish with bite and again dark, somewhat smoky spice.
