2012 Colli Tortonesi DOC Barbera Superiore "Bruma d'Autunno", Piedmont, Italy

Firm, tart aroma of predominantly black berries and a little cherry with tobacco, earthy and peppery notes, moderate wood barrel tones and juniper. Tart, again quite firmly knitted fruit, quite present acidity and fine sandy, ripe tannin, smoky, nutty and tobacco notes on the palate, again also juniper, moderate wood, lots of power and substance, the high alcohol well integrated thanks to the acidity and juiciness, some depth, herbal nuances, a touch of coffee and tar, very good, firm finish.
