2006 Colli Tortonesi DOC Superiore Falò d'Ottobre, Piedmont, Italy

Editor note: Partly dried small red berries on the nose, some cherry jelly, vegetal and delicate mineral notes, some cedary notes and old oak. Slightly tart preserved red currant and blueberry fruit on the palate, herbaceous and vegetal notes, prominent acid bite, appears slightly lighter than it is, hint of candied cherries in the background, integrated, moderately astringent tannins, not particularly deep, but has its own character, delicately juicy, typical of the origin, slightly bitter on a good to very good finish.
