2022 Gutturnio DOC "Il garrito", Emilia Romagna, Italy

Somewhat vegetal aroma of sour cherries and black berries with herbal notes and a hint of pepper. Tart dark fruit with smoky and nutty flavours, hints of roasting, herbs and again peppery traces, present tannin and moderate perlage, persistent on the palate, a hint of sweetness in the background, animating bite, good to very good, juicy finish with dark spice.
