2018 Gutturnio DOC Classico Riserva "Punctatum", Emilia Romagna, Italy

Smoky and dried-vegetable to slightly tobacco nose of black and red berries with tart nutty and very slightly burnt aromas. Somewhat smooth fruit with tones reminiscent of nut butter, herbal notes and mushrooms, again a hint of tobacco on the palate, crumbly, a hint of drying tannin, some persistence, milky hints in the background, not too deep, hints of bitterness, noticeable but integrated alcohol, good finish.
