2004 Colli Piacentini DOC Superiore Gutturnio Classico, Emilia Romagna, Italy

Fairly mature nose with plums and dark berries, prominent animal and burnt notes. Firm, fairly prominent berry fruit on the palate, some cherries and plums, has quite a firm backbone and substance, angular and rustic, slightly astringent tannins, attractive finish.
