2019 Toscana IGT "Ugo Contini Bonacossi", Tuscany, Italy

Clear, inviting nose of ripe red and black berries with a little Amarena cherry, dried floral nuances and a hint of juniper and tobacco. Ripe, fairly firm, warm fruit with smoky, slightly sooty and roasted wood notes, bitter chocolate and coffee grounds, fine sandy tannins, some bite, plenty of power and noticeable alcohol, a certain persistence, fleshy traces, some salt, very good, alcohol-rich finish with warm, partly preserved fruit and dark ethereal spice.
