2016 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Gewürztraminer Spätlese "Epokale", Alto Adige, Italy

Deep, firm and complex, almost cool fragrance with noble stone fruit aromas, some lychee and orange zest, floral aromas, a hint of caramel, delicate herbs and yellow spice. Dense, ripe, very juicy and complex spicy, sweet fruit with nutty, smoky, herbal-vegetable and floral notes, orange and mandarin zest on the palate, again some caramel, deep, multi-layered and persistent, clear minerality in the background, perfectly integrated sweetness, quite noble character, very good to long, concentrated, juicy and spicy finish with very fine grip and persistence, with air also a little varnish.
